Found in Your hands, fullness of joy
Every fear suddenly wiped away here in Your presence
All of my gains now fade away
Every crown no longer on display, here in Your presence
Heaven is trembling in awe of Your wonders
The kings and their kingdom are standing amazed

Chorus:
Here in Your presence, we are undone
Here in Your presence, Heaven and Earth become one
Here in Your presence, all things are new
Here in Your presence, everything bows before You

Bridge:
Wonderful, beautiful, glorious, matchless in every way
Wonderful, beautiful, glorious, matchless in every way

I immensely enjoy singing, "Here in Your Presence" sang by Jon Egan and the Desperation Band. Excellent worship song! However, may I suggest that the lyrics, "Here in your presence, we are UNDONE", be improved upon? May be, "...we are made WHOLE" should be considered. A picture of Old Covenant worship is seen in Isaiah 6. In Isaiah 6:5, the word "UNDONE" literally means "cut off" and is translated as RUINED, DESTROYED, DOOMED and LOST in other Bible translations. In the New Covenant, Heb. 4:16 states, "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." In view of the finished work of Jesus at the cross, in His presence we are MADE WHOLE by His grace and mercy. This is just a suggestion.

I was doing research on the word undone. I looking at it from a different perspective/ definition. It sort of reminds me of being totally free in the presence of God. It means to be untied, loosened or in other words to be free. Who the son sets free is free indeed. John 8: 36. I agree that the word deals with being whole in a sense this is what being free is. We have liberty and freedom in God presence. He comes that lives are changed and are completed. All of these responses are excellent. I just happened to look at it from a different view. God bless.

I see the word undone meaning we realize we are not complete, we do not have the answers and when in front of Him we drop our arrogance. We are humbled by His greatness. Once we are undone, emptied, He fills us, but He can only fill what we empty out. Undone is a strong word, the synonyms are: unfinished, incomplete, unaccomplished, unfulfilled, unconcluded; When Christ died and rose again it was finished, completed, accomplished but only if we choose to believe. Only when we are undone can He make us whole.

I have gone through some serious medical problems over the last several years, specifically since 2008. Before my medical problems started, I was a very accomplished woman: I was a church pianist; extremely intelligent; had gone back to school after staying at home for 12 years and completed my Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major and graduated Cum Laude; was working full-time; and had three young children. I could learn anything, was very active in my church, etc. You get the picture.

Well, my medical issues changed me. Between the seizures, sleep issues, and medication, I became nothing. I didn't open my Bible for literally a year because it made no sense to me. For almost a year, my goal was to accomplish ONE thing a day. It was devastating to me. I could no longer identify myself, because everything I thought I was was gone. Not only did I not know who I was, but I thought I had nothing to give to God or the church.

One day we sang this song in church. It wasn't the first time, but it was different that day. Suddenly, the words hit me.

All of my accomplishments mean nothing when I am in His presence. But that also meant the opposite was true: my LACK of accomplishments mean nothing when I am in His presence. I am simply His child, loved unconditionally.

You have no idea what that did for me. Suddenly, a burden was lifted. I didn't NEED to be more than I was. God not only accepted me in spite of the fact that I felt I couldn't give back to Him, He loved me BECAUSE of that. Because that was part of who I was. Because I was His child. Because He is God. He knew what I could and could not do. There was no pressure from Him to "be more". I could simply BE.
