Sunshine is a slang name for drugs that helps to erase memories. Her way of escaping from reality is by taking the drug. I think the lyrics explain that regardless of anybody else, bad time, etc. , she can escape and enjoy her the trip that this drug puts her on. Nnobody can take her away like sunshine!

Well, initially i liked the song for its music... Its so catchy and provokes curiousness... But gradually, i fell in love with the song for its lyrics! They are so energising and true!!!
Everyone needs inner peace... Something which motivates them to stay happy and spread that joy to others
For me, all the definitions look simple, coz i cant think complicated.. And that's what this song is all about! Just find the 'pocketful of sunshine' and get going with it..!! Its nothing but ur intuition, which guides u to happiness and contentment, where u find 'no more lies' and there's just peace and innocence.

This song has a deeper meaning than people think. Think of in two ways:

It's about having a positive attitude toward life despite hardship. The "love" could be anything- a secret love, love of life. God etc. While wishing to go back to better days, needing a hiding place etc suggest day to day hardship, she has love/sunshine which equal personal knowledge of something greater than herself - a faith/hope that things will improve.
