Misty Edwards – You Won't Relent lyrics

You won't relent
Until You have it all
My heart is Yours

I'll set You as a seal upon my heart
As a seal upon my arm
For there is love that is as strong as death
Jealousy demanding as the grave
And many waters cannot quench this love

Come be the fire inside of me
Come be the flame upon my heart
Come be the fire inside of me
Until You and I are one

Bible says god's name is jealous, he wants all of our heart to the point we can say " i and the father are one", that are intimacy with jesus is so evident that people will a person that has been confirmed into the exact image, or likeness of jesus, and our heavenly father won't relent until he has removed all the dross from our lives! Lord's will be done, amen.

This is the precipice that we stand as children of a most holy god. How much is "all"? A seal up my heart will not allow anything that is not from him inside. If he is truly the seal then christ is the only one who can come inside. No girls or guys or money or addiction. Nothing. Hid love for us is so jealous, do we dare let another break that seal? Do we let an unholy man touch this holy temple? Come be the fire lord so that I have no other source of life and do away with all of my agendas. Never give up on me!

Interesting and catchy tune, but it almost portrays jealousy a good thing, which it is not. This is the bride asking the man to, in essence, place a seal (tattoo) on his chest or arm so he will always be reminded of her, and then she will not have to feel jealousy. In the song, "i'll set ... " implies christ saying this to his bride, "i make a permanent place for you in my heart. Love as unavoidable as death, so you will be confident and always assured that you are the only woman for me. "
Yes, we can say that to the lord, but he is the only one with perfect love. Ours will always fail us. All our professions of love have little power, but confessing his perfect love for us can transform us.

This song reminds that He won't stop until He has all of me. God is a Jealous God. He doesn't want me just on Sunday's or during Bible Study. He's wants to capture my heart all the time. He wants my full, pure devotion. He'll only let me go so far before He does what He has to do to bring me back. He loves that much. There's billions of people on this earth but, He takes the time to chase after each one of us, to comfort of us, and to provide our every need.
I Love the lyrics. Brings me to tears every time I hear them!
