Weatherman said it's gonna snow
By now I should be used to the cold
Mid-Februray shouldn't be so scary
It was only December, I still remember
The presents, the trees, you and me

But you went away
How dare you
I miss you
They say I'll be ok
But I'm not going to ever get over you

Living alone here in this place
I think of you and I'm not afraid
Your favorite records make me feel better
Cause you sing along with every song
I know you didn't mean to give them to me

But you went away
How dare you
I miss you
They say I'll be ok
But I'm not going to ever get over you

It really sinks in, you know, when I see it in stone

Cause you went away
How dare you
I miss you
They say I'll be ok
But I'm not going to ever get over you

We can all relate to the meaning of this song. I believe it was written by blake shelton or for him, but it was too close to him so she sang the song instead.
I think the records part is meant that the dead one left all his/her stuff behind that the loved ones kept it. They weren't meant to be given to them.

I think that this song is about the pain of losing someone that you love. I have a friend who lost her brother in a atv accident 8 months ago and she is still trying to get over it. I feel really bad for her and I hope she gets better.

My mom passed away jan. 10, 2009. So we had our last christmas together in 2008. I still have my days, but everyone says i'll be ok and to just move on. This song relates to me so much. Cuz te reality of losing someone takes forever to set in, especially when you were with shortly before they passed.

I lost the love of my life. He passed away and left me here alone. The only thing I have are the memories that we shared. The words to songs, places we went everything I do reminds me of him. So help me this is our story. And I can not be with anyone that even measures up to him. He is the only one I think of! This is my favorite song from all the songs she has sang. I know he wrote this song and gave it to her to let me know how much he cared for me and what our relationship was. Sorry we didn't get to finish this life together, but we did get to enjoy the three years. Love you.
