Where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I recieved my sight
And now I am happy all the day

At the Cross
That rugged Cross
Where I lay my burden down
At the Cross
That blood stained Cross
The place where peace is found
I come and lay my burden down

Was it for Crimes that I had done
He groaned upon that tree?
Amazing pity, Grace unknown
A love beyond degree

At the Cross
That rugged Cross
Where I lay my burden down
At the Cross
That blood stained Cross
The place where peace is found
I come and lay my burden down

As I come before Your mercy
I can harly speak
Surrounded by Your Glory
In awe of Your majesty
And I know that I'm not worthy
Yet You give Your love to me
I am Free, I am Free!

At the Cross
That rugged Cross
Where I lay my burden down
At the Cross
That blood stained Cross
The place where peace is found
I come and lay my burden down

I believe it means that we can always come to Jesus to see the light meaning get answers to our issues at hand if we give them to Christ He will carry our load and work it out because his love is that great. When we see our issues at hand solved we will see the light of Gods grace and Mercy darkness wont have room any more to harbor in our souls through our faith.
