I'm the blade, you're a knife
I'm the weight, you're the kite
They were right when they said
We were breathing underwater
Out of place all the time
In a world that wasn't mine to take;
I'll wait

Is this my life?
Ahhh
Am I breathing underwater?

Is this my life?
Ahhh
Am I breathing underwater?

I'm a blade, you're the knife
I'm a weight, you're the kite
They were right when they said
We should never meet our heroes
When they bowed at their feet
In the end it wasn't me

Is this my life?
Ahhh
Am I breathing underwater?

Is this my life?
Ahhh
Am I breathing underwater?

Nights are days
We beat a path through the mirrored maze
I can see the end
Ahhh
But it hasn't happened yet
I can see the end
Ahhh
But it hasn't happened yet

Is this my life?
Ahhh
Am I breathing underwater?

Is this my life?
Ahhh
Am I breathing underwater?

Am I breathing underwater?

Am I breathing underwater?

Unfortunately about a dysfunctional relationship in one way or another. The same tool, but ultimately different. The other person a free spirit, the weight that holds it in place when its meant to fly. People can't breath underwater obviously, something unnatural. Realizing and questioning the relationship. Dating someone you revere never works because they are only human in the end. And in that end, as people always do in these sorts of relationships, change. They become such hard work and you don't know where you're going or the next fight will be. Its fairly self explanatory i think.

Happened to me! I was the weight as i'm sure everyone is at some point.
