Megan & Liz – Are You Happy Now? lyrics
She stood out in the crowd
Was a little too loud
But that's why we love her

She's not like other girls
She could've conquered the world
Until you broke her
Down
...

Are you happy now?
That she's on the ground

And do you realize the words you say
Make bruises that don't fade away
Are you happy now?
That you've brought her down
And she's thinking that she won't fit in
Cuz you said something's wrong with her
Are you happy now
?

He liked science not sports
He knew what he stood for

He's not like you, you don't like that
15 years down the road, he could be everything you won't
But right now you're breaking him
Down
...

Are you happy now?
That he's on the ground
And do you realize the words you say
Make bruises that don't fade away
Are you happy now?
That you've brought him down
And he's thinking that he won't fit in
Cuz you said something's wrong with him
Are you happy now?

I've heard that it was done to you
Is that why you do what you do
Well that's no excuse, no

And if it felt hell to you
Then why'd you wanna put them through
What hurt you

Are you happy now?
That you've brought them down
I, I don't think so

Are you happy now
That they're on the ground
And do you realize the words you say
Make bruises that don't fade away
Are you happy now?
That you've brought them down
And they're thinking that they won't fit in
Cuz you said something's wrong with them
Are you happy now?

Are you happy now?
Are you happy now?

The whole purpose to this song is how you should stand up against bullying. No one likes to be bullied and no one wants to be bullied. Do you know that some people that are bullied cause self harm or even commit suicide? To me this has to be the most meaningful song. It explains so much. I was bullied and started to cut myself. No, it was not fun. I started having suicidal thaughts. My bully finnaly moved. The point is, is that I didn't speak out. I waited for my problem to go away on its own. Never wait for your problem to go away on its own, especially if it's bullying. If you are a victim of bullying speak out!

I will always post this song--every month. Bullying can lead to serious consequences, for you and for the person you're bullying. Bullying leads to the creation of other bullies or people wanting to take their lives. Is that really what you want? Do you really wanna be the reason someone killed themselves? Stop it. It might be funny to you, but it sure as hell isn't funny to them.

I love this song. It wants us to make a step towards bullying and it also tells us that just because we were bullied once, doesn't give us any right to put others what we have been through. It also tells us (u'll know if you watch the video) that even the bully suffers later. :)
cheers! And I love you meg and liz! Keep rocking! Cheers,
elizabeth (lol, I am also liz, in a way! ;))

Don't bully people or else it would trun up bad on you. This time its not you who gets the laugh its the people that are by your side making the other people hurt laughing at you. I was bullied one time when I was little and it wasnt pretty and I still get bullied and its not funny then the person that got bullied pressured me down to the edge and I busted and I finally told her off and she totally understood and she never bullied me again! Stand up for yourself no matter how much trouble you get in.

This song means that bullies hurt feelings and make people feel upset and down. Its saying that by hurting other people you are kind of hurting yourself. What if you bullied someone and then you got bullied? How would you feel? And are you happy that you hurt them? That you almost ruined them? It means a lot more than I can explain. I've been bullied, but I've been able to stick it through and stick up for myself. I still get made fun of, but not that often and I still stick up for myself and I don't get upset enough tomake me fall, I don't want that to happen to anyone! This song is sad but it really speaks to bullies by many levels, and that's why I'm hoping that they will hear this and stop before it's to late!

Every word of this song is something I've felt my whole life. School is so hard these days, peer pressure, not fitting in, not being as pretty as others, being called names, abused at home, I don't think people really realize what they say emotionally is more harmful then physically harming them. We all want to feel wanted, beautiful, and hopeful to get through the pain we all have had to feel. So when l can I try to compliment people and make them feel good about themselves. Honestly, we all have been hurt. We all need each other. We are broken people breaking others because no one ever has the nerve to speak up.

I've been bullied literally my whole life, as in, before I was in pre-k, so this means a lot to me. I'm 13 and have finally reached a point in life where I'm fine. I still always think about what people have said to me the past 10 years (yes, I've been bullied science I was 3) and how mean people can be, even people in your own family. It still gets to me. When I was 3 or 4 my own bro told me it was better if I had never been born. I believed him. I would hide in my room all day and cry and try not to talk. I've been through some hardcore bullying, so everyone who is reading this, think before you speak. Something you might not think twice about may be something that another person cries over. Just keep that in mind.

This song means a lot to me I was bullied at school for over 9 years by the end of it I had attemped suicide started self harming and had eating disorders it left me depressed and insecure, feeling unwanted unloved and friendless. This song speaks directly to bullys it asks them if they are happy that they have done that to a person. It challenges the bully to why they would want to do that and should make them think twice. I left school over a year ago now and now almost 17 I have managed to stop self harming overcame the eating disorders and the depression faded, it took me a while but I got there and sometimes I still cry about the bullying its left a mark on me that will never fade. I don't want anyone else to go through what I did I was lost and broken this song should stop majority of bullying and help kids that are being bullied right now.

The song are you happy now, to me, is about excepting people for how they are, and not bulling someone for being different. Everyone has different interests and they should be able to express them. People shouldn't have to hide what makes them different. They should be able to embrace what makes them unique and share it with the world without being afraid of being judged. I feel like that's what this song id saying. That's what are you happy now means to me.

The meaning to are you happy now is anti bullying. It means that by saying hateful words to someone you are hurting them emotionally and scarring them for life making them feel less about their selves or even want to end their life. That even if you were picked on the same way gives you no excuse to bully. In fact why would you put som ene through the same things if it hurt you so much? That even the happiest most outstanding person in the world can be brought down by bullying and that this needs to end!

(you will be in hel.) but I know that this is not what you would do, soo be careful of what you say, think before you say anything. This song is more than what you think it is.
This song has deep meaning inside you. Telling you how wrong it is, how unfair it is for you to ruin other people's lives. Whether you realise it or not, whether you're just throwing your hatred to just anyone, they are just wrong.
Think about those people around you. Think about yourself. We are all the same. We deserve to be treated the same way.
Create a new happy life without hurting others. Be your new self and stop bullying. Maybe this world will then become a better place for us all. :)

My meaning to this song is that, when you are being bullyed, it is a very gutwrenching feeling. By being hurt from others, you get that feeling that you just want to fit in, so, in response, you bully. This song is showing that you don't have to be that way. Showing that it hurts them, and it hurts the *rep you are trying to build for yourself. Bullying is not cool! -dannielee.

I guess. It's a message that will be perceived in different ways from different people, but the two messages that are clear as day to me are pretty much the attacker and the victim. To the victim, stand up for yourself, always be forgiving, be there for others even if nobody is there for you. Now to the attacker, why do you do this? Is it done to you? How does hurting another make you feel better as a person. You need to stop, feel for the other person. Instead of bringing everyone down with you, surround yourself with people who will lift your spirits and help you. :)

Bullying doesn't make you happy. It changes you're life and how you act around to others. Life can be misunderstood, but when you notice that there something wrong you need to change those reasons. Sometimes things are just not ment to be, but putting it down on others can cause trouble. The unexpected can happen anywhere at anytime. We all sometimes need to face the fact that we all aren't perfect. We all are unique and different. If you're struggling don't hold it in you have to face the reality and ask for help. It not an excuse for yourself. The worse can turn to the impossible.

There are people in the world, that are going to be different then you, and aren't afraid to show who they really are. And you won't like it, and won't realize how much it hurts the other person for you to bully them because they don't look like you, or act like you. You won't realize, how bad it really feels, until someone does it to you. And having someone do it to you, causes you to generate the anger, and makes bully other people. But just like megan and liz said. It's no excuse, it's still wrong, and needs to be stopped.

I go home crying everyday because people call me a nerd and a loser just because I like to read. I think about how I don't want to hear their taunts anymore and that I just want to live my life! I cry inside and I can't let them know. Thank you, megan and liz, for lifting me up back on my feet. Whenever people tease me, I think of this song. :)

This song means a lot to me because I always stand up for people. I used to be the popular then I changed school and people made fun of me. I'd stand up to people who'd make fun of me, the way I talk, they was how I always sing and how I am really short. But I learnt to stand up for myself and be proud of who I am. This song is powerful and displays an important message. You are amazing megan and liz!

Makes me cry everytime cuz reminds me of a girl of my class that gets bullied everyday. Last time she heard a boy named joseph saying bad stuff about her, and she started crying. I also cryed a bit, and I also thought, "what if this affects her so much that she will have thoughts of suicide? " I talked to her and said "hi im sorry for what joseph did to you, you know that someone loves you right? " she said this to me "no nobody does.. " and I said "yes, god does" don't bully it hurts. !

Well, I've been bullied because I'm so different from the other people at my school. This song is the exact thing I went through, and still am. It tells people that what they're doing really hurt, and that even if they went through something terrible, that they shouldn't make someone else go through that. I love that they have written this song to make the bullies who listen and see the video think, before they act. Very inspirational.

I really think this song means a lot to a lot of people. This song reminded me of a girl who made videos and people made really mean comments on it. And she was really nice and pretty on the outside and in. People couldn't seem to look past a few flaws she had apparently but she was brave and ignored them. You can't let bullying hurt you and others. You have to get through it even though it can be tough. God is always with you. And there is always someone who you can talk to.

In 6th grade, I had the worst experience ever. I didn't fit in and everyone left me out and I seriously wanted to die. Now, I'm a freshman in high school and I am not exactly at the top of the popularity chain but I'm not exactly at the bottom either. This song made me cry and the day after I invited a girl who was sitting by herself to our table to eat lunch. Stop the cycle now. I wouldn't be here if I didn't have friends to tell me I had more to live for. Love you megan and liz!

Bullying is a really bad thing. Its a horrible experience. Wheather you bully somone or you have been bullied. Its horrible. Bullying can not only hurt someone phsyically, mentally, or emotionally, it can cause things like depression, and even suicide. Just because you have been bullied doesn't give you the right to do it to others. If anything you should take a stand to stop it and to be there for others. Being bystanders of a bullying situation is also important. If you see someone getting bullied you need to intervine and tell them to stop.
