This song is about when Rob Thomas' mom was battling cancer, and he dedicated this song to her.
This song reminds me a lot of living with bipolar. How scared your spouse or significant other can be. How people with bipolar can have messed beliefs and thought processes. Sometimes how life can be for everybody.
I use to call my significant other whenever I got scared because we used to live far apart from each other. Any time day or night I used to always have to have someone there with me because I was really messed up. Now that it's being treated it's not always so bad. But it's still a roller coaster.
I still feel as if this is my song it still speaks to me. How I wake up in the middle of the night wondering where I'm going with my life.
