Staring at a stop sign
Watching people drive by
T Mac on the radio
Got so much on your mind
Nothing's really going right
Looking for a ray of hope

Whatever it is you may be going through
I know He's not gonna let it get the best of you

You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight ‘til the final round
You're not going under
‘Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when He reminds You
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer

Everybody's been down
Hit the bottom, hit the ground
Ooh, you're not alone
Just take a breath, don't forget
Hang on to His promises
He wants You to know

You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight ‘til the final round
You're not going under
‘Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when He reminds You
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer

The same Man, the Great I am
The one who overcame death
He's living inside of You
So just hold tight, fix your eyes
On the one who holds your life
There's nothing He can't do
He's telling you

(Take a breath, don't forget
Hang on to His promises)

You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight ‘til the final round
You're not going under
‘Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when He reminds You
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer

You're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
You're an overcomer

So don't quit, don't give in, you're an overcomer
Don't quit, don't give in, you're an overcomer
Don't quit, don't give in, you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer

This song is written for those who feel like a failure and like giving up. That are overwhelmed and feel like they cannot do what they have been trying to do, or what they need to do, or called to do by God.
For a Christian, we know God tells us that we are not to strive in our own power but, that God will give us His power to accomplish the tasks we have to do, and to accomplish all the He has given us to do.
I love that when I listen to this song, it totally lifts me out of negativity, and I really believe that I am an over-comer! â€" because. God is living inside of me. It reminds me of who I really am, and that I can do all things through Christ who lives in me! I really am an over-comer who! That's how I feel when I hear and sing along to this song! I love it!

Yes this song means so much. We tend to lean on your own understanding. I know that when things go wrong in our life. We always try to fix what's causing us pain. Several years ago I lost my kids to the state giving up my rights. Now mind you this was very difficult for me. I got through this by the grace of god. Then I made a mistake and got in trouble for domestic violence. Gods love and grace got me through it. I got frustrated quit my job lost my apt. My GF was going through issues. Beyond my control. Stressful as that was her in & out of the hospital. Moving in & out. God got me through it. He mighty god made where I was staying that my landlord. Still gave me a good ref. Thank you god. God you made it possible for me to live back home with my mother. Thank you god for watching & taking care of my mother. Thank you god for giving me the patience to hold on. And stay in the fight till the final round.

My best friend's youngest granddaughter was born a preemie and diagnosed with dwarfism (I apologize I don't know the correct name) three months ago. A few days ago she contracted RSV pneumonia which is a threat to preemies and dwarfs (and in this little ones situation it's a double threat). My friend asked for prayers from everyone and I did that. Today I received pictures of how well the baby was doing compared to three days ago (on the third day Christ arose right?). Earlier this evening I was listening to some Christian music and this song by Mandisa came on. I listened to the words and immediately thought of my friend's granddaughter. This is Kahlan's fight song at three months old. I told my friend that God had Kahlan in the palm of His hand since before she was conceived and He continues to be with her. I emailed the lyrics to her so she could read them (prayerfully to Kahlan).
