Lauren Daigle – Still Rolling Stones lyrics
[Verse 1]
Out of the shadows
Bound for the gallows
A dead man walking
Till love came calling
Rise up (rise up)
Rise up (rise up)

Six feet under
I thought it was over
An answer to prayer
The voice of a Savior
Rise up (rise up)
Rise up (rise up)

[Chorus]
All at once I came alive
This beating heart, these open eyes
The grave let go
The darkness should have known
(You're still rolling rolling, you're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones
(You're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones

[Verse 2]
Now that You saved me
I sing 'cause You gave me
A song of revival
I put it on vinyl
Rise up (rise up)
Rise up (rise up)

I once was blinded
But now I see it
I heard about the power
And now I believe it
Rise up (rise up)
Rise up (rise up)

[Chorus]
All at once I came alive
This beating heart, these open eyes
The grave let go
The darkness should have known
(You're still rolling rolling, you're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones
(You're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones

[Bridge]
I thought that I was too far gone
For everything I've done wrong
Yeah, I'm the one who dug this grave
But You called my name
You called my name
I thought that I was too far gone
For everything I've done wrong
Yeah, I'm the one who dug this grave
But You called my name
You called my name

[Chorus]
All at once I came alive
This beating heart, these open eyes
The grave let go
The darkness should have known
(You're still rolling rolling, you're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones
(You're still rolling rolling oh)

[Outro]
You're still rolling stones
(You're still rolling rolling oh, you're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones
(You're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones (you're still rolling, rolling)
(You're still rolling rolling oh, you're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling rolling
(You're still rolling rolling oh)
You're still rolling stones

[Instrumental]

Paul would agree with the theology of most of Verse 1. "You were dead in your trespasses and sins" (Eph. 2:1). "But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ" (Eph. 2:4).
He might disagree with "Six feet under, I thought it was over", under the theory that dead men don't understand their helpless state, think it's over, or pray for a Savior. That’s because we were “by nature children of wrath” (Eph. 2:3) and the “natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him” (1 Cor. 2:14). Dead men’s minds are focused on things of the flesh: "We too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind" Eph. 2:3.
The first three lines of the Chorus accurately reflect that we were given life and raised from the grave of death. Eph. 2:7-8. The fourth line might be changed to "'cause the darkness did know" to better reflect that Satan has been given limited authority, lacks the ability to judge, and certainly knows the resurrection power of Christ (Eph. 2:2, 5-6).
Verse 2 accurately reflects that we were made alive "all at once" because He created us for good works that He created beforehand so that we would walk in them, such as praising Him in song (Eph. 2:8-10). "I heard about the power, and now I believe it” reflects Christ's teaching that some men, although they saw or heard about the power of His miracles, couldn't believe Him because they hadn't been given "open eyes" or "ears to hear". John 6:53-65. It is only after we are given spiritual life that we may believe His power. John 10:26-28. It's a great song that demonstrates God's great love and that He is "Still Rolling Stones."
