Lady Antebellum – Never Alone lyrics

Feat. Jim Brickman

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when it's time to go home
May you always have plenty
Your glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone

May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
With every year passing
They mean more than gold
May you win but stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone

Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

Well, I have to be honest
As much as I want it
I'm not gonna promise the cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fear surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when it's time to go home
And when hard times have found you
And your fear surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

I'm the father of a daughter that has Celiac disease and Lyme disease. Daily she is harrased at school about her illnesses. She is a very beautiful young lady of 16. Her days are filled with pain and coldness from the Lyme. She will face very difficult times throughout her life. This song is for me, a dedication to her that I will always be there for her, and that she will never be alone in life. I will always be there to help her through the hard times. My arms will always be wrapped around her, even after I'm gone from this world.

Shortly after my husband was sent to prison, I heard this song. I sent him the words to it, and he loved the lyrics. He wanted to hear it sang though. So on visitation one saturday, I stood in front of about 50 other visitors and inmates and sang the song. It brought tears to just about everyone's eyes. It is pretty much the anthem for what we go through, even though it was probably not meant to be. I think of this song a lot. I just have to remember that even though I'm physically alone, he is here with me in my heart and one day we will be together again.

My father died a while back and there was many songs we listned to but this song comforted us all so much and helped us through so many problems and bad days. This song will always be an inspiration because it came out less than 24 hours after he died and it will be apart of my life foerever. I am only 9 and I promise I know every single word of this song by heart that's how many times I've sung it.

This song reminds me of my grandma in south africa who recently had an illness wich attacked her brain and they didn't think she would make it through but she's such a fighter and she survived it but with major brain damage for a few days she couldn't talk eat tell where she was or who she was and she no longer remembered those people who were close to her like her husband daughter and son but she is recovering very well and her memory is returning and I would love her to know that the angel's protect her/ trouble neglect's her/ and heaven will accept her when its time to go home.

I always thought that no one cared for me and that I wasnt special. Wheni listened to this song, it made me realize that I am always loved where ever I was and I should not feel horrible about myself because I do not feel loved. This song tells me that someone is out there in the world waiting to wrap their arms around me to protect me from all the ups and downs school and friends have an affect on me. Ot tells me never to give up and that I will be rewarded if I do not give up and actually find friends made out of gold because right now all the friends I seem to have are mostly tin, rusting when it rains and not keeping each other dry like an umbrella.
This song is the only reason I can keep myself go on studuing and never giving up kowing that someone is watching over me.
