Labrinth – Earthquake lyrics
Labrinth Come in!

Ladies and gentlemen
This is something they call
A ground breaker
So let me first apologise
To the shirts and the ties
For your make-up
Cause I make you ugly
As soon as it drops
We're on a rampage
Bottles popping off
Before you know it
There's rubble and dust
Cause we be pushing it up
Somebody say... (you better run)

Yeah

I predict an earthquake
Up in here

Say yeah

I predict an earthquake
Up in here

Cause we throw bombs on it
Throw bombs on it
Just smash something
Yeah mosh for me

Hey Yeah

We can make an earthquake up in here

So here we go we go

Ladies and gentlemen
What you're about to witness
Is no illusion
And now we got the bass banging
From here to Buckingham palace
They're all movin'

Hey Simon
We're fucking them up
Turning em psycho
Everybody rock
Let's bring the house down
To rubble and dust
Cause we be pushin' it up

Somebody say... (you better run)

Yeah

I predict an earthquake
Up in here

Say yeah

I predict an earthquake
Up in here

Cause we throw bombs on it (yeah)
Throw bombs on it (yeah)
Just smash something
Yeah mosh for me (aha)

Said Yeah (let's go)

We can make an earthquake up in here
So here we go we go

I predict an earthquake up in here

Say yeah

I predict an earthquake up in here

Cause we throw bombs on it
Throw bombs on it
Just smash something
Yes mosh for me
Hey yes

We can make an earthquake up in here

So here we go we go

Heyo Labrinth
This one's feeling like a straight ten on the Richter scale, ya know...

Yeah!

Fire fire! We, we about to set this place on fire!
Without a match or lighter
Don't do girlfriends
One nighters make them (aaaahhh)
C minor
If I want Christian
Or Kurt Geiger I just phone up the designer
Doing all-nighters no days off grey hairs with a little pro weight-loss
I predict (riots)
I predict (chaos)
I predict (lethal)
I predict (Aahhh)

Disturbing London got the whole city panicking
I be Nostradamus this my ni ni ni ni(Labrinth)

Yeah

I predict an earthquake up in here

Say yeah

I predict an earthquake up in here

Cause we throw bombs on it (yeah)
Throw bombs on it (yeah)
Just smash something
Yeah mosh for me

Yeah

We can make an earthquake up in here
So here we go we go

Come in

The best "meaning" I can come up with is a nuclear attack on london. All parts are there, the more evident, like "throw bombs", "i predict an earthquake", "rubble and dust" etc, but also less evident, like "fire fire! We about to set this place on fire! With out a match or lighter" - how do you set something on fire without a match or lighter? Well, you could detonate a nuclear bomb for example. The mentioning of "weight loss" could also relate to the actual weight loss of the atoms involved in a nuclear reaction. Also note the license plate of the car in the video (it says "yall oed", which may resemble "y'all ded").

An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the result of a sudden release of energy in the earth's crust that creates seismic waves and this tis black pepole causing trouble in the london riots. Furthermore when he says labrinth come in this is because he is deaf because of the earthquake noise & labrinth is blacker than king kongs bottom. Finally, tinie temper looks like a raisin.

There are many references to different british business and public figures in this song.
'simon' is of course the owner of the record label that signs labrinth, 'syco' not 'psycho' as shown in these lyrics.
Buckingham place is of course the official residence of the queen.
Disturbing london is the name of tinie tempahs fashion label which opened about the same time as this song was released.
    'kurt geiger' is also british.
Not sure who 'christian' is though, although context suggests a designer, in which case, he may be christian audigier, although he would break the trend as he is french.
Other corrections include; rubble*and* dust, *n-n-n-n****r labrinth.
All in all, the lyrics describe a 'posh' party that become crazy at the introduction of labrinth and tinie, which may be a microsm of what they are doing to the music, and fashion industries mentioned.

This is a warning to the forthcoming events in 2012. How can they play this song as the opening song in the new years celebration on central london live on tv?
Be careful people somethings not right in the world at the moment, just read them lyrics and think about whats its actually saying.
Accept any advice but you decide wether to use it. Don't fall into the media hype. Think with love and help others as by doing so you are helping others.
    Peace and love.

The most modern anarchic / anti-capitalist track. Seems to be voicing disgust with big business (shirts & ties) and government "bring house down to rubble dust" - shades of guy fawkes here. If I didn't know better, this track is almost attempting to start rioting again with the predictions (riots, chaos people) - nostradamus is famous for predicting the end of the world - end of london in this case?
Well people do say music is powerful. And a nice track too.

They're bringing there own sound to the scence and some people will try and cause uproar, saying it's rubbish, there's no place for it etc but the artists and fans will just knock them down and carry on, basically labrinth is saying he won't be beat down, he knows how good he is so haters can hate it won't stop him! Also can be percieved as labrinth predicting his music will be the next big thing which will smash all other music before it, either way I lovveee this song :)
