Revvin' up your engine - listen to her howl and roar
Metal under tension - begging you to touch and go

Highway to the Danger Zone
Right into the Danger Zone

Heading into twilight - spreading out her wings, tonight
She got you jumping off the deck - shoving into overdrive

Highway to the Danger Zone
I'll take you right into the Danger Zone

She'll never say hello to you until you get it on a red-line overload
You'll never know what you can do until you get it up as high as you can go

Out along the edge - it's always where I burn to be
Further on the edge - hotter the intensity

Highway to the Danger Zone
Gonna take you right into the Danger Zone

Highway to the Danger Zone
Right into the Danger Zone

Its about a guy who meets a girl with a landing strip, and he decides to go take a chance because shes really hot and has maybe had one tooo many drinks.
So hes just chillin, takin his time going down the "highway"(landing strip) and then he gets to her "dangerzone"(muff) and it turns out that it has teeth and it chops his weiner off. Therefore the highway to the dangerzone is a very sad depressing song about a man who only had good intentions but ended up losing his shaft.

Jesus people it is from the movie "top gun" which is about airplanes. While yes, there are some *sexual innuendos* in here, it is generally about airplanes.

It's about taking off from an aircraft carrier, specifically in an f-14 tomcat. "spreading out her wings" refers to the wings on a tomcat; "jumping off the deck" is pretty obvious--it's referring to being shot off the aircraft catapult.

Honestly, the meaning isn't important. Danger zone is just one of those classics that you just can't get out of your head. However, the song worked well enough in top gun. Love that film.
The meaning could well be something to do with cars, or even angels, but who actually cares?
