Edelweiss Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white
Clean and bright
You look happy to meet me
Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Edelweiss Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever

For me edelweiss was my two year old grandaughter who would soon be leaving her homeland of ohio to live in texas with her mom and dad. I was very sick and not sure i would ever see any of them again. I still sing it to her on the phone. Each grand child had a song but she will always be my adelweiss.
