Christmas did indeed "take off" from the Pegan's Winter Solstice. However, Jesus himself did not. Christians would "hide behind" the Pegan Holidays to worship Christ freely in earlier times. Same as with Easter (neither of which (Christmas or Easter) was originally a Christian Holiday) however, that does not mean (by an stretch of the imagination) that Christians were (or are) celebrating a Pagan Holiday or that Christ "came to be" from their stories. Over the years Christians have just adopted those holidays as our own, and many do understand where they originated. But in their "heads" and in their "hearts" they are celebrating Christ. There were many "foreshadows" of Jesus. Even in the "worship" of false Gods. Be not deceived.

Merry christmas, y'all! I love this season, hohoho!
I buy almost everything except food and clothing from online auctions. Most people aren't aware of the almost unbelievable deals that they can get from online auction sites.
The site that has the best deals is saveonbuycøm
And I checked with the better business bureau and was told that it is all legit. How they can sell gift cards, laptops, cameras, and all kinds of goodies that we all want for 50-90% off, I don't know. I do know that I bought my son an iPad there for less than $100 and my husband a $250 loews gift cards for $48. Why would I even think about shopping anyplace else?

What I'm going to say may anger some Christians, but the real reason we celebrate during December 25 is actually due to the winter solstice. Also Jesus was not the son of god, he is the sun who is God, a pagan deity disguised as a monotheistic god. And somewhere along the way the church tricked everyone by switching the real meaning behind Easter with the birth or Christ (i. E. During the winter solstice the sun lowers in the sky for 3 days representing the death of Jesus and three days later it begins to rise again representing the "rebirth" of Jesus or "resurrection") You can claim I'm a heathen & will go to "hell" when I die. But, News flash people, there is no Heaven or Hell or any type of afterlife. So maybe just try to get along & make the best of your life while you're living it and try to help others to have a happy life as well. Merry X-mas, Feliz Navidad.
