Pick up all your tears
Throw em in your backseat
Leave without a second glance
Somehow I'm to blame
For this never-ending racetrack you call life

Turn right
Into my arms
Turn right
You won't be alone
You might
Fall off this track sometimes
Hope to see you on the finish line

Driving all your friends
At a speed they cannot follow
Soon you will be on your own
Somehow I'm to blame
For this never-ending racetrack you call life

Turn right (turn right)
Into my arms
Turn right (turn right)
You won't be alone
You might (you might)
Fall off this track sometimes
Hope to see you at the finish line

I did all I could
And I gave
Everything
But you had to go your way
And that road was not for me

Turn right
Into my arms
Turn right
You won't be alone
You might (you might)
Fall off this track sometimes
Hope to see you at the finish line

I actually interpret this song in a more spiritual sense. I think of it as God singing this song. We tend to go through life and when things don't work out the way we want them to, we can sometimes blame God for it. Then God tells us to "turn right into My (God's) arms". That you won't be alone and that he's waiting for us to get back to Him because He's always there for us.

Obviously, it has nothing to do with a racecar? It's about him being with a girl who's been hurt before, and she's pushing away her friends and him. It's like a break up. "hope to see you at the finish line" means that I hope you're alright, and I hope to see you doing well later on in life. He's just stating that he'll always be there for this girl, and that she had to go her own way while he went another.
    It's about love.

The idea stems from the course that racecar drivers take out on the track, always turning left and here if you take that one chance to go against the grain you find yourself in the arms of safety. It's a song about taking a chance, doing what you are not necessarily comfortable with and discovering solace in the unknown. And most importantly, trusting those who mean a lot to you.
