Jonas Brothers – A Little Bit Longer lyrics
Got the news today
Doctor said I had to stay
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
When I thought it'd all been done
When I thought it'd all been said
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got
'Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
Every time you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know

All this time goes by
Still no reason why
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
Waitin' on a cure
But none of them are sure
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine

But you don't know what you got
'Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
And every time you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know
No no
You don't even know
No no

Two, three, four!

Yeah!
And you don't know what you got
'Till it's gone
And you don't know what it's like
To feel so low
And every time you smile or laugh you glow
You don't even know
No
Yeah
Woah!

[Oooohhh]

So I wait 'till kingdom come
All the highs and lows are gone
A little bit longer
And I'll be fine
I'll be
Fine

[Additional lyrics]

So I'm finally here today
You've touched me here today
And I wish that I could stay
A little bit longer
And I will be fine

I think this is one of the most meaningful and best songs ever because Nick is singing a song about his diabetes but what amazes me is that he did not let it stop him from living his current blessed life. My grandpa died of a type of sickness when I was only 4 years old and I get flashbacks now and then about him. The point is that just because tou have a type of sickness doesn't mean it should stop you from living your dream which is why Nick Jonas inspires me. I had gone to one of their concerts and Nick sang the same inspiring song and was like 'God bless Nick Jonas and every kid that is suffering of any type of sickness. 'Just to let you know I am a huge jonas broothers fan! Anyways god bless everyone in this world.
Love a big fat jonas nerd Angelica.

I think its one of the most amazing songs it tells how some people not only nick feel this way and that they are told to wait while those people are suffering inside we just want more fun and we don't appreciate all we have its hard to go threough something like that I know I have a tumor but I'm good now it went away and in that time I felt like he does sometimes you just have to listen to a song to actually appreciate what you have not all of us have water or food or health and we forgot how important it is to appreciate. Nick is a good example he has diabetes and this song was inspired by it and even if your fine you should help as much as you can to make this person glow this song is one of the most beautiful songs.

I didn't know he had diabetes, but I had a feeling it was some kind of disease. Obviously I assumed it was cancer at first. But he is a very brave kid I'm sure its very scary to have an uncurable disease at his age and he is carrying on. Kudos! And as for you me2 you should really grow up and get a hobby and maybe learn to spell.

This song has a great meaning to it. It's not every day where you see a teen popstar on the stage giving out so much inspiration. The Jonas Brothers have amazing talents and shouldn't stop at anything. When I first listened to this song I had tears in my eyes, because it makes you think about how many good things you have and you should love everyone around you. The Jonas Brothers are my true heroes. I wouldn't let anything get between me and them. I love them :)

If you really listen to the lyrics you will understand that nick jonas clearly has an obsticle in his life and he wont let it get in the way of anything. This is the best song ever written. A Little Bit Longer deffinetely has an important meaning about diabeties. I bet Nick Jonas has helped out a lot of children suffering from diabeties. The thing is, some of the lyrics are being copied. The line "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" is a line from an older song. Over all, I think the songs meaning is that we should be happy to be healthy if we are.

I love this song because like nick jonas my 6 year old nephew has diabetes and I go to the diabetes walk we have in my town every year. My family is waiting for a cure. Also my mom had cancer and we are also waiting on a cure for that to. This song is very inspirational. I love it so much. My nephew is always saying that his only wish is to be diabetes free. My nephew looks up to nick because he wants to be a rockstar and nick is one.

I love this songgg, the jonas brothers are so wonderful at what they do. This song means alot to me, my mom has a brain tumor, my uncle died from a brain tumor my grandpa has diabetes, I have a heart condition. I would normally think that my life is just horrible because of this but this song really touched me, and if nick can live everyday doing what he does, and meeting fans, and doing concerts, and just being a kid, then I guess we all can, he is such and inspiration. I lovee the jonas brotherss.

This song makes me bawl every time I hear it. I have a friend who is going through some rough times right now. It makes me think of her every time I hear this song.
" You don't know what you got 'till it's gone"
Think about that line. The truth is. We really don't think about what we truly have, wether it be family or friends. And when they're gone, we regret all the times we've fought. And we truly regret it. We don't know when they will be gone. So make the most out of it, laugh and have fun while you can. Because when they are truly gone. You won't be able to take those words back, and that person won't come back.

This song makes me want to cry because my cousin has down syndrum and when I here this song it tells me how strong she is by going through all of her sugeries. It also makes me sad because it makes me think of my mom and that she died when I was 2 years old and it tells me that how ever much I miss her I should just keep going no matter what so this song means alot to me.
    I love you nick.

This song is just. Amazing. I just bought the album, A Little Bit Longer and my favorite song was this. It just kind of made me understand to appreciate everything I have. I went to the concert at the Honda Center and Nick was crying and he told us a story about a little girl who had diabetes while he sang this same song. It was very sad. But this is why we love the Jonas Brothers!

I don't think he's necessarily trying to say that nobody knows how it feels to have diabetes, he explained it differently. He's just saying that nobody really knows exactly how he feels and nobody will ever know just the way he feels. Everyone feels something a little different even if they are in the same situation. It may consist of some of the same things, like for instance being scared and worried. I'm sure a lot of people feel that when they are sick like this but he's just saying that there's always something a little different in everyones feelings and this is just his way of letting that out :) I loveee this song and goodluck to everyone with diabetes, stay strong :)

This song is about how Nick kept following his dream when he got dignosed with diabetes in 2005. I can relate to this song because I am at risk of getting diabetes. Every time I go to the doctor I listin to this song and know that everything is gonna be fine as long as I don't let it get me down. This song is great advise! And I know I can't spell.

Dude I feel for nick and all but its not like he has cancer or anything its just diabetes. We can get through it. I ve come to know that diabetes is not the end of the world. Were all normal and its just a blood defection!
I love you nick and omnipods rock and whoeva thinks ur g* for wearing one is absolutely stupid
but I love th fact that this song isn't just about diabetes its about anyone with a disability or an obstacle in their way of chasing their dreams and the jonas brothers didn't make it to the top cause of their hotness or materialistic things its cause they have there priorities straight and they know that the only way to live is to put god first and dream big
we should all follow the awesome example that they set for us I truly believe that the message they send is a me ssage that every1 should learn.

I have diabetes too. But, it doesn't stop us from doing what we want. We can do anything still, and I'm sure both of us, and everyone else with type 1 diabetes wants a cure. I got diagnosed when I was three, and in december I would have had it for 9 years. And I do know what it's like to feel so "lo" and yes that's how you spell it. I have three or four times. So, that's one of the reasons I love this song.

It's about his diabetes its a sad song but a good one at that. I'm 15 and I've had diabetes for 10 years and I can relate to the song soo well! Diabetes isn't a sad thing its just apart of life and alot of people have to deal with it. Songs amazing though listen to it everytime I get frustrated with my diebetes! I agree with boscorosco but at the same time the song makes alot of sense and alot of diabteics feel tht way.

Last night I went to their concert and when he sang this song I got to go up and sing it with nick and in the middle of it he started crying and when I saw that one tear roll down his face I realized how hard it must be for him to have to be a rockstar dealing with diabetes. When I saw that tear I started crying also bc I have diabetes also. I have to admit though. That was the best night of my life. Nick is the nicest person anyone could ever meet.

When my mom told me she had to start chemotherapy, she started crying and told me she was scared. So I held her and sang this song to her. And she stopped crying. Every time I feel like life is too much to bear, I put this song on and listen to it over and over until I feel okay. Nick is such an inspiration, and if he can live every day with diabetes and do everything he does in a day, so can I.

I have sumthing called Candida, it's were you get like a way overdose of medicine by doctors, It's sorta like a yeast infection at the age of 10 I was on a no sugar diet for a year, I'm still trying to get over it. People always tell me like they feel my pain, and I'm like no they don't, I've been getting so frustrated with the whole situation, this songs really means the world to me, It teaches us to not give up, and live by what you have. Alot of kids have the same thing I do, they probably (them, parents, and doctors) just don't relize it, the world really needs to know about this. For more info please contact me.

I cried so much when my daughter was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 that I thought I ran out of tears. Today I heard this song for the first time. I started to cry before the song was even over. This song seems to talk about my beautiful 15 year old girl. "The highs, the lows, the cure, a little bit longer 'till Kingdom come..." yes! They don't even know. Nick, god gave you diabetes so you could sing to many, including my daugther! Your diabetes comes from heaven.

I love Nick Jonas sooo much, like every other teenage girl. I went 2 their concert a few days ago and he sang this song and I didn't really pay attention to it because I didn't know it yet and I didn't care, but now I know how big it is and it makes me cry every time. I support him so much and I can't go anywhere in my room without seeing his face!
    Ily Nick!

First off, let me start by saying, I absolutly love Nick Jonas, & I'm deffinatly behind him 100% & I support him, 1000%, but the thing is, alot of other people have diabetes, but they don't get as acknowledgement as Nick Jonas does. I understand he's a celeb & all, but others who are struggling & battling this, need everyone's support to.
    Okay.
My meaning to this song, is, no matter what your struggling with, or how your dealing with it, just look to friends & family for support, & always keep your head up, & remember that, if you feel like breaking down, & giving up, finding a cure, don't do that. Because, if you give up, your mainly giving up on yourself.
Just press on, dream for the best, & hope; for the rest will fall into place, as long as you believe it's possible. =^]
I love Nick Jonas, & I'm supporting him, & everyone else with Diabetes, 1000%.

Ok omg I love this song. Its so sweet. I cried when I watched the video by stripped on YouTube and the whole time joe is shaking his head its so sad. Ya but this song is about his diabetes, about how when he went into the hospital he thought he would be fine but the doctor told them to stay a bit longer. This song just makes me like them more knowing that they go through pains like anyone else and can show it and make others feel good too. They really know how to get to you. I love you guys!

I just heard this song and I love it. I am about to cry. You can tell the words are coming from his heart. And I feel so bad he has to suffer with Type 1 Diabetes. I applaud him for not letting that stop him from doing music. I really want to hug him right now. Nick is really inspiring along with his brothers. Thank you Nick, Joe, and Kevin, you are the best!

My cousin from so-called "communist" Spain has diabetes and he doesn't whine about it like Nick Jonas does. He manages his own diet, Nick is too dumb so he get's a doctor. This song doesn't explain how diabetes is like, it just says "I have diabetes and I whine about it so I have to wait a little big longer so I can get under control to make Disney more money! Goo goo gaa gaa!". Darn Jonas suckers.

Okay, me2, I don't agree with you one bit! And I don't like your opinion cause A. Nick jonas is not a stupid kid! B. He is 16 years old! C. He wrote this song about his diabetes so its very emotional and touching and nick jonas is very brave for being able to go on stage every night and sing his heart out and sound amazing and he is always so busy and yet, he is still amazing at taking care and handling his diabetes! So lay off him! And I also know someone who has diabetes. His name is also nick and he is my best friend! And sometimes, his sugar is low and he goes crazy [literally! :)] and I sometimes help calm him down! Sometimes its scary and I support nick and nick jonas with their diabetes and I really hope they find a cure soon so we wont have to worry about it anymore! Lastly, I want to thank nick jonas and let him know that he is amazing for that speech he gave at the concert I went to! He said he promised himself he wouldnt let his diabetes and then he said it still hasnt! Everybody started screaming and it was amazing! I will never forget that day! :)
