Down here the river meets the sea
And in the sticky heat I feel ya’ open up to me
Love comes out of nowhere baby, just like a hurricane
And it feels like rain
And it feels like rain

Lying underneath the stars right next to you
Wondering who you are
And how do you do? (How do you do baby?)
When the clouds roll in across the moon
And the wind howls out your name
And it feels like rain
And it feels like rain

We aint never gonna make that bridge tonight baby
Across lake ponchartrain
And it feels like rain
And it feels like rain

Batten down the hatches baby
Leave your heart out on your sleeve
It looks like were in for stormy weather,
That aint no cause for us to leave
Just lay here in my arms
And let it wash away the pain
Feels like rain
And it feels like rain

Baby can you feel it
Feel it, feel it,
Feel it, feel it
Baby can you feel it
Can you feel it
Gonna let your love rain all over me
Feels like rain

I was born and raised in New Orleans. Most of my childhood was spent in activities that involved the river or Lake Ponchartrain. Countless carefree hours enjoying the natural gifts of the city. Looking back with a mature mind, this sultry tune makes me long for adult passions I never experienced in my home town. This is the sexiest song I've heard in years!
