Todos me dicen el negro, llorona
Negro pero cariƱoso
Yo soy como el chile verde, llorona
Picante pero sabroso.
Ay! de mi, llorona
Llorona de ayer y hoy
Ayer maravilla fui, llorona
Y ahora ni sombra soy
Dicen que no tengo duelo, llorona
Porque no me ven llorar
Hay muertos que no hacen ruido, llorona
Y es mas grande su penar
Ay! de mi, llorona
Llorona de azul celeste
Y aunque la vida me cuesta, llorona
No dejare de quererte [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/j/joan_baez/la_llorona.html ]
It could've happened to any of us. Nowadays, it's still happening, it's callled domestic violence, as a child it is frightening, for a woman to be driven to such an extreme is tragic for sure.

And there is a book call the ahogado written by solarte tristan. In his book la llorona is a beautiful woman that gets seduced by a strange and handsome man. After that she get's in a trance of delusion and believe the devil was impregnated her, eventually she dies. The book it is the story about the boy, is a beautiful story.

It's about a mother who's lost a child or a woman in mourning of some sort.
