To the cross I look, to the cross I cling
Of its suffering I do drink
Of its work I do sing

For on it my Savior both bruised and crushed
Showed that God is love
And God is just

At the cross You beckon me
You draw me gently to my knees, and I am
Lost for words, so lost in love,
Im sweetly broken, wholly surrendered

What a priceless gift, undeserved life
Have I been given
Through Christ crucified

Youve called me out of death
Youve called me into life
And I was under Your wrath
Now through the cross Im reconciled

In awe of the cross I must confess
How wondrous Your redeeming love and
How great is Your faithfulness

That Jesus not only carried the cross, but before that he suffered a brutal beating that he did not deserve! Then not only did he hang upon that cross, But as he was hanging he was placing grace upon us that we surely do not deserve! N from that he placed upon us mercy, for he is merciful! So when I hear this song I truly want to drop to my knees, get into his presence n just cry at his feet upon that cross! Thank you Father for not only placing this song upon Jeremy for us who always wants to be on our knees, But also those that will be delivered from it! May God Bless Always!

The most heart-wrenching pouring out of thankfulness i've ever heard in a song. Beautiful images are created with his words, bringing tears and a hunger for more of his grace while i'm on my knees at the foot of the cross. The holy spirit has given you such powerful words to bring us to our knees, jeremy. Your voice is amazing, your talent is amazing. Thank you for this song. I listen to it over and over and over. May god continue to richly bless you for richly blessing me.

What this song means to me is that jesus paid the price for us to be with him and god in heaven. And him dying on the cross we can go to him and be with him in the spirit and trust him

The lord called us out of death, and into life, meaning that he called us away from our sin and our shame and into a new life with him, in which we are loved beyond reason and clean of all our sins. We all have hurts and hang-ups, but he reconciled that through the cross. Because of the amazing love that christ has for us, he died on the cross for us as an example of how much he loves us. When we grab hold to that, and we lay our habits and hurts and hangups down at the foot of the cross, we can be truly and sweetly broken in him. Being broken at the foot of the cross is an awesome thing, because it is in that brokenness that we are molded and fitted into the person that god has called us to be.
