See the curtains hanging in the window
In the evening on a Friday night
A little light a-shining through the window
Lets me know everythings alright
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
See the paper lying on the sidewalk
A little music from the house next door
So I walk on up to the door step
Through the screen and across the floor
Repeat chorus
Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom
July is dressed up and playing her tune
When I come home from a hard days work
And you're waiting there, not a care in the world
See the smile a-waiting in the kitchen
Food cooking and the plates for two
Feel the arms that reach out to hold me
In the evening when the day is through
Repeat chorus

I heard this first when i was fifteen in a a local pub the ruskin arm manor park (e12) covered by a band called power pack. I thought is was the worst song ever. I am now 53 and despite my first impressions this song hold this song provides me with a conduit back to those days . If only i could go back.

Sexual! Sensual! A loving song between a man and a woman. Also between us and our god. Long live love!
Sincerely, erst (friend and lover of the late gloria ann ___ and of the living megan carol ___ of the east bay, sf/oakland, ca).
    P. S. Long live the summer of '67! We were all there! Thank you god.
