Walk a mile in these Louboutins
But they don't wear these shits where I'm from
I'm not hating, I'm just telling you
I'm tryna let you know what the fuck that I've been through
Two feet in the red dirt, school skirt
Sugar cane, back lanes
Three jobs, took years to save
But I got a ticket on that plane
People got a lot to say
But don't know shit about where I was made
Or how many floors that I had to scrub
Just to make it past where I am from

No money, no family
Sixteen in the middle of Miami

[Hook]
I've been up all night, tryna get that rich
I've been work work work work working on my shit
Milked the whole game twice, gotta get it how I live
I've been work work work work working on my shit
Now get this work

You can hate it or love it
Hustle and the struggle is the only thing I'm trusting
Thorough bread in a mud brick before the budget
White chick on that Pac shit
My Passion was ironic
And my dreams were uncommon
Guess I gone crazy, first deal changed me
Robbed blind basically raped me
Ran through the bullshit like a matador
Just made me madder and adamant to go at em
And even the score
So, I went harder
Studied the Carters till a deal was offered
Slept cold on the floor recording
At 4 in the morning and now I'm passion the bar
Like a lawyer
Immigrant, art ignorant
Ya I'll intent was insurance for my benefit
Hate be inconsiderate, but the industry took my innocence
Too late, now I'm in this bitch!
You don't know the half
This shit get real
Valley girls giving blowjobs for Louboutins
What you call that?
Head over heels.

No money, no family
Sixteen in the middle of Miami

I've been up all night, tryna get it right
I've been work work work work working on my shit
Milked the whole game twice, gotta get it how I live
I've been work work work work working on my shit
Now get this work

Pledge allegiance to the struggle
Ain't been easy
But cheers to Peezy, for the weeks we lived out of duffle
Bags is all we had
Do anything for my Mum, I love you
One day I'll pay you back for the sacrifice
That ya managed to muscle
Sixteen you sent me through customs so
All aboard my spaceship to Mercury
Turn First at the light that's in front me
Cause every night I'mma do it like it's my last
This dream is all that I need
Cause it's all that I ever had

No money, no family
Sixteen in the middle of Miami

I've been up all night, tryna get it right
I've been work work work work working on my shit
Milked the whole game twice, gotta get it how I live
I've been work work work work working on my shit
Now get this work

Its about Iggy Azalea's life story, the struggles that sent her this lifestyle of rap. A lot of people misjudge the song and take the lyrics for granted which really shouldn't happen considering its got meaningful lyrics, its like her middle finger to everyone who said she's a white chick who couldn't rap for shit. Growing up Azalea lived in a rural town in Australia. Loubitons are mentioned a lot in the song as something she never had which she didn't. She got on plane and flew to Miami however it took years to save. Back in her old town Iggy's dreams were uncommon. Rap wasn't popular with country bumpkins. It also says Tupac was one of her idols.

Wow. I never knew how hard iggy a life was. And you didn't either so if ur. Hater, get the facts straight b4 you start hating on her if you don't even know. She grew up in Australia and apparently from the song, she sang, err. Rapped. Sorry Iggz. She rapped about how hard her life was. That's why she said, in the intro, "now I'm gonna tell you about all the f*** I've been through" and we think we had it bad. Iggy was poor. (I think. Judging from the song. Correct me in I'm wrong) I mean, she had to actually work for years until she was finally sixteen to get on a plane for one ticket. Bc she knew she could have a better life if she moved to the us. And she does. And she raps about how she was alone with no money, no family, and in the middle of Miami. She said she was raped which is prob true bc if she's 16 and all alone, who's gonna help her? So this rap is about how she worked hard until she was sixteen just to go to the us. She was an incredible woman. She still is. Even if she is inappropriate in some ways, we can't just hate on her for no reason.

People need to understand that you talk about something your life through rap and just interviews yeah I might listen to Nicki Minaj most of the songs don't make any sense people need to realize that Iggy Azalea took the spot Nicki Minaj was the best female rapper was because of Lil Wayne even though she is signed 2 T. I she still worked hard who wouldn't.

Beautiful I swear, I love this song so much with all my heart. This song means a lot to me, it shows that she didn't grow up with a lot. She has struggled through a lot and now she is just starting to get famous. She definitely deserves to become somebody in life. Never judge a book by It's cover.
