This song is great, I love it. Probably the best song from this movie. After the smarticles and the Wildcats figured out a way so that Troy and Gabriella could be in the show and still on the teams, Sharpay convinced Ms. Darbus to switch call-backs to the day and time of the championship game and the Scholastic marathon (if that's what you call it), they concoct another plan so that Gabriella and Troy can go. (The smarticles break into the system and shut down the electricity in the gym and something overflows at the marathon.) It was almost too late, but they were able to do it. At first Gabriella was scared, but Troy comforts her and they sing this song together. I think the best part of this song (if you've watched the movie) is when Coach Bolton and Mrs. Montez see them singing together. And I totally agree with Issybella Bear's first post.
that previous song meaning; BLA BLA soz for da bor i was writing a "school report" das wat it sounded like anyways
i just really like da song
its cool :) ;) :) ;)
I think that this song is really emotional because it is about two people; a boy called Troy and a girl called Gabriella, and they want to be together but nobody agrees. This is because the two lovers are in different cliques than the cliques that they want to be in. They truly want to be together and this is the song when they explain that they need to be together as "not a want but a need" as the lyrics say.
