Hector Lavoe – Para Ochún lyrics

Para Ochun y Yemaya,
Para Ochun y Yemaya.

Eh Yemaya, Yemaya ya eh
Yemaya oloto
Oye Yemaya oloto,
Yemaya oloto
Virgen de Reina que buena eres
Yemaya oloto
Anda prestame tu voluntad
Yemaya oloto
Para pa lante poder caminar
Yemaya oloto
Yemaya, yemaya, yemaya

This song I'm still doing research on but from what I've gathered it's about a witch/witches. Ochun or oshun is a witch known to people who worship or party to her as a goddess of the river her mother is yemaya. The word olodo (not oloto) is a Nigerian term that means someone being stupid or dumb. This is not all the lyrics and some of the spellings are incorrect. I love Salsa but the lyrics to this song from what I make of it are giving praise to witches. I had to stop listing to it because as a Christian we are to worship and give praise to The One and only Jesus Christ Lord over all. Do your own research God bless.
