Go to sleep while I gather all my things
I will call you in a couple of days
I can hear the june bugs approaching
A God damn army of them in my brain
In my brain
In my brain
In my brain
"Sing," there'sa says
"Sing happy things"
"Sing"
There'sa says if I do everything one day a man will spring worth loving
Worth loving
Worth loving
Worth loving
All of my friends fall from the sky now
Many more than I ever thought I had
Everyone is sharpening up their angles when all I really want's [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/g/greg_laswell/sing_theresa_says.html ]
"Sing," there'sa says
"Sing happy things"
"Sing"
There'sa says if I do everything one day a man will spring worth loving
Worth loving
Worth loving
Worth loving
He left a good woman to be a traveling musician. He knew it was wrong; that he was cazy, but he had to, so he did. And he'll never forgive himself for it. She begged him to say, she genuinely loved him, and genuinely believed that he left because she wasn't good enough, and he knows she probably always will. He got everything he wanted or thought he'd get from the life he chose, only to discover it hollow... To find out the hard way that the people he wanted to be loved by can really only love them selves. And that even though they're listening, no one will ever want to hear him more than theresa did. That connection meant more to him than he could have known, and he'll never get it back... Its grief.

He doesnt beleive in himself. He thinks if he performs certain things he will be worth loving. But we are worth being loved right in the moment we are in!
