Mysterious, blown in with the night
All this beauty captured in a frame
Visibly shaken, but never stirred
Drives them insane
I see the way she plays her men
And I know I've got to know her name
She's so beautifully broken
Shaped by the wind
Dangerously twisted
Here I go again

I see the way she cast her spell
It's like drowning in moonlight
Discards them she's done
They're lost in her twilight
I watch her move from star to star
And I wonder why, why it feels so right

She's so beautifully broken
You can barely see the flaw
Especially from a distance
Which is always how I fall

Why do I fall for the dangerous ones
The ones that never learned to let go
And why do I lie to myself
And pretend that I can break her
When she's already been so
Beautifully broken

Why do I fall for the dangerous ones
The ones that don't know how to let go
And why do I lie to myself
And pretend that I could break her
When she's already been so

Beautifully broken
Shaped by the wind
Dangerously twisted
Here I go again, here I go again

He comparing a woman to a horse in a sense. This promising colt or girl (inside and out) has grown up to be a beautiful woman. She has literally been broken by life itself and experiences (birth, death, hard knocks to kissing the sky to love) that helped shape her emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Her heartbreaks have molded her when breaking others hearts. She is a china doll. She has been broken and the scar that remains gives her the flaw that can barely seen if at all. This flaw is what gives her unique beauty.

He falls for the women who know how to play men. They are the ones who put on a pretty face, dress to the hilt, allow numerous men to buy them drinks at the club, and are the life of the party. The type every man pursues. He is convinced he will tame one some day, as it is his quest. He wishes to possess her. He wants to be her everything and she his. But this woman in particular immediately affixes herself to him, he sees the flaws he makeup cannot conceal up close. She needs attention from a man constantly. Her self esteem is quite fragile and her personality and character depth expire quickly in all but the shortest conversations. In spite of all of her shortcomings, he sees in her a truly beautiful woman wrapped inside of all her baggage, both physical and emotional. His quest is now to reveal this beauty.

It seems to me that he keeps picking the wrong women and he knows it - it's just the way it is - he picks the ones that are "shaped by the wind" -"dangerously twisted" -drawn in by the mystery even after seeing the way she plays men -destined for failure and destruction -he has no recourse but to let her do her job and break his heart by throwing his hat in the ring!

Play it out like racing faster, faster, faster -till the thrill of the speed overcomes the fear of death!
