I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You've made it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now

Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along

I think it's about learning to love someone new differently than you've loved before, and loving them despite your own old scars and pain. The fact that the song is called "falling slowly," repeats that same phrase constantly throughout the song, and also repeats the phrase, "we've still got time," says that it's about getting to know someone on a deeper level over a long period of time, and the singer is almost promising to give their future full of time to get to know each other to this person they're learning to love. And after getting to know this person, the singer says, "falling slowly, eyes that know me, and i can't go back, moods that take me and erase me, and i'm painted black, you have suffered enough, and warred with yourself, it's time that you won" and "take this sinking boat and point it home, we've still got time, raise your hopeful voice you have a choice, you've made it now" which means the singer is understanding that the person they love also has past scars and pain they carry around and wanting to take it away for them and save them, as well as let them know that the singer loves them either in spite of or because of these past scars and pain and personal wars.

    This song is amazing.
She might be feeling like she is over the clouds and falling down slowly and at the same time someone is singing a song for her, she can listen him, she can feel his song, but she can't see him anywhere..
'cause they never met each other,
    They don't know each other,
    But they want each other...

Falling in love isnt easy its an adventure... And it takes a lifetime to experince each and every turn this adventure can offer you... Truly it isnt done alone but with some by your side taking some of your pain that obviously isnt just for you anymore.. Its about you and the person on the adventure of life with you .. Through all love will stand and hold both our hands.. :)
