The song started with the story of a puppy love which began in childhood and blossomed into true love.. The boy was poor and the girl was reach so his desire is like a "suntok sa buwan" but luckily Bakekay doesn't mind their difference because she's still an innocent child. Time passes by and they separate ways but the 4th stanza said their path crosses again when they're grown-up and this time the man was eager to pursue his love for the woman inspite of their difference in socio-economic status. It means we should never give-up to pursue our aspirations and desire even thought it seems like an impossible task.

As per my understanding, song revealed three things: 1. there is always hope
2. Love is never ending
3. Kite can fly while rainiing

We know kites can't fly when raining because rain can rip a kite & may make the kites heavy. But because of hope, one still flies the kite.
Just like when you are loving, the relationship may end, but the important thing is you still gave chance to love.

Ang BAKEKAY is just a noun, name of a girl.
