Blue Savannah lyrics

Ok if anyone has read the odyssey, they will get where i am coming from.

Pretty much my interpretation of the song is that:

Verses-
#1 "blue savannah song, oh blue savannah song" pretty much meaning a sorrowful song because of one's troubles. "somewhere 'cross the desert, sometime in the early hours... " the person singing the song mourns both day and night.

#2 "racing across the desert... " the song can be heard from across the lands.

Chorus-
"my home is where the heart is" someone (lets say a man) is on a long journey away from home, and they are on their way back. "sweet to surrender to you only" his love is so strong that he will not give up for anything other than the one that he loves. "i send my love to you" even though he is away from home, he wants his lover (lets say a woman) to know that he longs to be with her again.

Bridge-

"i'm on my way back, and your love will bring me home" the love of his spouse motivates him to travel home as fast as possible "i'm travelling fast. " "will i discover your love will bring me home? " is love the real reason he is travelling home? Or is it just his selfish desire?
