Bright light city gonna set my soul
Gonna set my soul on fire
Got a whole lot of money that's ready to burn,
So get those stakes up higher
There's a thousand pretty women waitin out there
And they're all livin devil may care
And Im just the devil with love to spare
Viva las vegas, viva las vegas [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/e/elvis_presley/viva_las_vegas.html ]
How I wish that there were more
Than the twenty-four hours in the day
Cause even if there were forty more
I wouldn't sleep a minute away
Oh, there's black jack and poker and the roulette wheel
A fortune won and lost on evry deal
All you needs a strong heart and a nerve of steel
Viva las vegas, viva las vegas
Viva las vegas with you neon flashin
And your one armbandits crashin
All those hopes down the drain
Viva las vegas turnin day into nighttime
Turnin night into daytime
If you see it once
Youll never be the same again
Im gonna keep on the run
Im gonna have me some fun
If it costs me my very last dime
If I wind up broke up well
Ill always remember that I had a swingin time
Im gonna give it evrything Ive got
Lady luck please let the dice stay hot
Let me shout a seven with evry shot
Viva las vegas, viva las vegas,
Viva, viva las vegas

It's about a vampire, who feels the lack of his soul; a soul which was set on fire by the bright lights city.
He knows there's danger there, with all the high (wooden) stakes; but he must continue to meet the devil. He wishes there were more than 24 hours in a day, since easily 14 hours are lost as he must avoid sunlight.
He hopes if his heart is strong enough he can resist being destroyed by the stake to the heart. But is he willing to take the gamble? The only suitable place for such gambling, is las vegas.
The devil invited him to die in the city, but he chooses to live. Hence, viva las vegas!
