William Edwin "Ed" Bruce, Jr. (born , 1939) is an American country music songwriter and singer. He is known for penning the song "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys". Bruce was born in Keiser, Arkansas and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee.
