Came in from a rainy Thursday
On the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly

I turned on the lights, the TV
And the radio
Still I can't escape the ghost of you

What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is the life that I recognize?
Gone away

But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive

Passion or coincidence
Once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well now pride's gone out the window
Cross the rooftops
Run away
Left me in the vacuum of my heart

What is happening to me?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is my friend when I need you most?
Gone away

But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive

Papers in the roadside
Tell of suffering and greed
Here today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh, here besides the news
Of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk

And I don't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive

Every one
Is my world, I will learn to survive
Any one
Is my world, I will learn to survive
Any one
Is my world
Every one
Is my world

Sadly, this song brings back all the memories of someone who used to be my best friend and partner and now he's gone.

This song sadly has seemed to be the song i attach to a death of a high school senior on her prom night. So tragic!! The daughter of friends of mine.

To me it is about the losing the love of your life - the one person that changes you forever. Having experienced that, I relate entirely - the first time I heard it I thought of Kim, and cried, for yesterday I suppose. We had our own world, and to this day I find the "ordinary world" hard to survive in - but I had to learn to survive.

It's not about love, i'm sure. Because, talking about an ordinary world seems to talk about simple things in life, not material, like friendship.

As with all top tier entertainers, their financing and media support and even the contents of their songs are given to them by the ruling oligarchs of this world. Their purpose is to keep the masses distracted and confused. Ever wonder why the majority of songs are about infactuation and love and how great it is and never about serious issue that could rally the population. Anyways eventually the support was withdrawn and hence they must return to the ordinary world
