We're never alone 'cause I'm thinking of her, when it's you and me
There's a picture of me next to 'hard to believe' in the dictionary
Said we were in love but that 'aint what I want now, what I want now, what
I want now
Said you were the one but that 'aint what I want not, what I want now, what
I want
I want your best friend
I need your best friend
We can be best friends but I want your best friend
Trust me when I say this, you can't trust me at all
And we can be best friends but I want your best friend

Chorus:
Is Jessica around?
I hear her coming down
We can be best friends but I want your best friend
Is Jessica around?
I hear her coming down
We can be best friends but I want your best friend
Is Jessica around?

As soon as I saw your best friend there in the entrance
I knew you were destined to remain friends but share the?
You wear the pants and she wear the dresses
I'm not sexist just obsessive
I've been watching her, I confessed it
I sent her a message, a couple of exes
Funny how a text can turn into breakfast
And that's how we got right here
Too many lights, strobe lights and light beers
Me and her kicked it into high gear
That's weird, despite what you might hear
You want romance but I don't slow dance
And I won't hold hands so there is no chance
Anyways, it's on with the show
Just let me know

Chorus

Yeah
You make it seems so easy
Is it anyway to keep me?
It's like you bring her around just to tease me
She's so sick with it, oh so queezy
And you so?, blind to the fact that I'm leaving
'Cause the ribbons aint up in the sky no more
I guess that's what friends are for

Said we were in love but that 'aint what I want now, what I want now, what
I want now
Said you were the one but that 'aint what I want not, what I want now, what
I want now
I want your best friend
I need your best friend
We can be best friends but I want your best friend
Trust me when I say this, you can't trust me at all
And we can be best friends but I want your best friend

Chorus

Such an amazing song! As most people have already said he has a girlfriend, but once he meets the girlfriends' best friend, Jessica, he likes her more.

This person is with his girlfriend, but then he spots her best friend, jessica, and realizes that he wants her more. In the music video, their interpretation is that he hooks up with jessica, and sees that she's actually even more obsessed with him and he is with her- so much that in the end, all the events end up to jessica killing him.

This guy wants his girlfriends best friend rather than her. He doesn't love her slowness anymore and wants more which is what jessica is offering. Shes sexier than the original girlfriend.

He wants his girfriend's girl. Basically he is saying that he didn't love his girl anymore. But in reality he wants to get with his girlfriend's bestfriend.
