Solo:
If there were no gates of pearl
If there were no streets of gold
If there was no other world
And a land where we won't grow old

I'm not thinking about those sites
Won't be there to enjoy the view
I think heaven will be alright
As long as Your there, as long as there is You

If I never hear an angel sing
In a far off holy land
If I never hear a joy bell ring
Sing a chorus in a Christian band

I'm not thinking about those sites
Won't be there to enjoy the view
I think heaven will be alright
As long as Your there, as long as there is You

CHORUS:
I'm not thinking about the sites
Won't be there to enjoy the view
I think heaven will be alright
As long as Your there, as long as there is You

Vamp:
When we all get to heaven
What a day of rejoicing that will be
When we all see Jesus
We will sing and shout the victory

This song is saying, going to heaven bcos of what we'll see or what it is made of is just an addition. But seeing christ in his glory, just as he is, to feel the warmth of his embrace would in itself make heaven alright.
    What a powerful song.

The meaning of the song is that we should not make the wonderful sites we would see in heaven the most paramount aim but meeting with our saviour, the one that paid the price for the salvation our souls. Imagine heaven without the gates of pearl, streets of gold or angels singing beautiful songs, heaven will still be alright as long as jesus is there! Enjoying the view isnt enough but to feel the warmth of his holy embrace, touch&see his lovely face! I will not be a castaway in jesus name! I wont miss out!

This song means that am not thinking about the site of heaven, if there is street of gold am do not really have much interest in that but as long as heaven is there and our lord christ jesus is also there am ok with that because heaven are for the people who serve christ in truth but not for the people who think there are gold and all precious thing in there. (so let of as serve the our god well and in truth so that heaven will be our potion in jesus name, amen. )
