i think this song is about love/sex/age. he sings about "milk of the sun" that we assume is good, the sun is beautiful, therefore she is too. he also sings "the neck her heads on is a tunnel of dawn...but darkness will come" meaning (in my opinion) that although she may be beautiful now she won't always be, the same being "black tulips of time" tulips (flowers) fade as they get older, like humans. and lastly "that seed it grows all day, that seed it grows all night" meaning a baby in it;s womb.
at least thats what i think. could be wrong, but it's my opinion.
