It comes from the depths
Of a place unknown to the
Keeper of dreams
If it could then it would steal
The sun and the moon from the sky
Beware

Human at sight, monster at heart
Don't let it inside it could
Tear you right apart

No guilt, it feeds in plain sight
Spirit Crusher
Stay strong and hold on tight
Spirit Crusher

Speaking in killing words

The vicious kind that crush and kill
No mercy, it's pleasure to taste
The blood that it bled.

When it's time to feed to fulfill
The need to consume a breath
Some will rise standing tall
Breathing out all the breath from
The voice of a soul.

Human at sight, monster at heart
Don't let it inside it could
Tear you right apart

No guilt, it feeds in plain sight
Spirit Crusher
Stay strong and hold on tight
Spirit Crusher

This song is probably about sociopaths. They are seemingly human on the outside, but on the inside lies a reptilian creature devoid of guilt or remorse that will destroy you if you allow it to enter your life (obviously sociopaths are not literally reptilian though, they're just callous, cold-blooded human beings). Sociopaths use their charm and superior verbal intelligence to manipulate their victims, hence the line "speaking in killing words".

I know chuck's music can be interpreted many ways, but i believe one meaning to this song is about how people can hurt and crush others. Some of those people who live to hurt another need to be stood up to (second chorus)

I think in this song, chuck talks about our kind, "the vicious kind that crush and kill".

What we are capable of when we feel no guilt or consider what other human beings feel.

Like a desease, this deamon infects us, and consumes us, destroys and currupts our mind. In that way we became less human, or in other words, we finaly became human.

This song is about women. Women are human at sight, but if you let them inside they will tear you right apart. Hence "Spirit... Crush yaar!" get it? (I know not all women are like this, but a heck of a lot are. It's kind of sad.) Other things are "No guilt, it feeds on plain sight" like a woman can tear you right apart in subtle ways, with her words, right in front of everybody. A lot of women consider men something they can adjust or fix to their liking, and I believe this is what the song is talking about. "Some will rise standing tall
Breathing out all the breath from
The voice of a soul. Not 100% on this part but obviously men who stand up for themselves. Perhaps those who go their own way, break up with their overly-controlling girlfriends or divorce their spirit crusher wives. Not all women are like this, but for those women who are spirit crushers, this song hits dead-on.

Guilt is the spirit crusher. It "comes from the depths" it "feeds in plain sight" it's a Christian invention meant to control the populous, the sheep, the dead. "It's pleasure to taste the blood that it bled" to me indicates guilt is a sort of, as you up there said, an infectious disease.
