It's hard to find the perfect time to say something
You know is gonna change everything
Livin' with the shame; it nothin' like the pain
That I saw on her face

Now me and my pile of things that she threw out the window
Drownin' next to me
No seven years of good can't hide the one night
I forgot to wear that ring

So let it rain, let it pour
She don't love me anymore
Just let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Every word let it hurt
Even more than I deserve
Let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Let it rain

Last thing I remember was the young familiar
Taste of someone on my lips
It's too late to turn around when the shades start comin' down
The guilt you feel's the last thing on your mind

So let it rain, let it pour
She don't love me anymore
Just let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Every word let it hurt
Even more than I deserve
Let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Let it rain

So let it rain, let it pour
If she don't love me anymore
Just let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Every word let it hurt
Even more than I deserve
Let it come down on me, let it come down on me
Let it rain

Let it rain
(You don't love me anymore)
Let it rain

Simple as this, the guy cheats on his girlfriend/ wife and he realizes he's stupid for it because he realizes what he did was wrong and now he is facing the consequences. The woman who was his woman does not want him anymore, because she is strong enough to let go of what is wrong. Why be with someone who isn't faithful? He is so upset with himself that he finds it impossible for her to love him after this, but she probably still loves him but obviously she doesn't love what he did and she feels betrayed. It is clear he loves the woman that he cheated on if not he wouldn't have written this song, don't leave something good to find something better people. Cause once you realize you had the best, it's too late, cause the best has found better. Deuces.

The day school started i heard from a friend that my boyfriend of 10 months cheated on me early august with an ex of his at a campsite while my friend was there. That friend of mine hates that chick and always has, so i know she ain't lying. My bf wont admitt that he did it, or has ever cheated on me at all. But today i asked him if he went camping with my friend and her bf and he said yes, but then quickly said ''all i was there for was to tell my ex to turn herself in'' and said "i didnt ask about your ex. '' and continued with a lie ''i didnt even know she was there. Now i feel the rumors are true. '' i'm at a loss because i love him so much. I thought of this song right away when i found out from that friend the other day.

A married man lets it go too far with another woman. His wife throws him out and he knows that what he did is wrong. He's ready to take the pain of betrayal.

He cheated on her and now is suffering the pain from it. Very sad that this situation happens all the time.
