(Dennis Lambert, Brian Potter)

Listen, children, to a story
That was written long ago
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley folk below
On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath a stone
And the valley people swore
They'd have it for their very own

Go ahead and hate your neighbor
Go ahead and cheat a friend
Do it in the name of Heaven
You can justify it in the end
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgment day
On the bloody morning after who...
One tin soldier rides away

So, the people of the valley
Sent a message up the hill
Asking for the buried treasure,
Tons of gold for which they'd kill
Came an answer from the kingdom,
"With our brothers, we will share
All the secrets of our mountain,
All the riches buried there"

Now, the valley cried with anger,
"Mount your horses, draw your sword!"
And they killed the mountain people
So, they won their just reward
Now, they stood beside the treasure
On the mountain dark and red
Turn the stone and looks beneath it...
"Peace on Earth" was all it said

Go ahead and hate your neighbor
Go ahead and cheat a friend
Do it in the name of Heaven
You can justify it in the end
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgment day
On the bloody morning after who...
One tin soldier rides away

Go ahead and hate your neighbor
Go ahead and cheat a friend
Do it in the name of Heaven
You can justify it in the end
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgment day
On the bloody morning after who...
One tin soldier rides away

The song is about Greed and that is what most of the people are about today all they do is want and will give nothing Give as much as you get or at least try sometimes you can't, but try. Do not let other people tell you what to think or do. Fight injustice Just like Billy Jack did When you fight FOR justice we all win not just some of us

The insatiable desire for money and power creates envy in the souls of the valley people toward those who are perceived to have it. Envy builds to hatred, leading to murder. Too late, it is realized that the ultimate power is not money or material wealth but rather, love that would bring peace. In killing, we often destroy the very thing that we killed for in the first place.

This song is about man's desire for all he sees and getting it any way he can, even when its offered to him... Then letting this desire control his behavior to the point of murdering innocent people... The real meaning to life... Peace... Live with your neighbors, your brothers, and all men in peace, that is the ultimate goal... Its about justifying what we do, namely war, in the name of god, however god will not see war as a just means to peace...

Jesus, is what this is about... Psolpe will always be fighting for what they don't understand, the things we don't understand scare us so we want to destroy it. Even the greatest gift of life was destroyed because the fear of not understanding who he was and why he was sent.
