"Christmas night, another fight.
Tears we cried; a flood.
Got all kinds of poison in, poison in my blood.
Took my feet, to Oxford street, trying to right a wrong.
"Just walk away", those windows say, but I can't believe she's gone.
When you're still waiting for the snow to fall,
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all.
A group of cameras on there flicker, Oh they flicker and they flow.
And I'm up here holding on to all those chandeliers of hope.
Like some drunkard Elvis singing, I go singing out of tune.
Singing how I always loved you darling, and I always will.
Oh when I'm still waiting for the snow to fall,
It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all.
Still waiting for the snow to fall, It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all.
Those Christmas lights,
Light up the street,
Down where the sea and city meet.
May all your troubles soon be gone.
Oh Christmas lights, keep shining on.
Those Christmas lights, light up the street.
Maybe they'll bring her back to me.
Then all my troubles will be gone,
Oh Christmas lights, keep shining on.
Ohhhhohhhhoohhhohhhhhhhhooohohohohhhhhh
Oh Christmas lights, light up the street.
Light up the fireworks in me.
May all your troubles soon be gone.
Those Christmas lights, keep shining on."

Christmas is beautiful. Even in the darkest times, there is always beauty, light, hope, somewhere in the world. You just have to find it.

The snow falling represents to him the hope and joy of christmas. His love not being with him is like the snow not falling. But, the christmas lights, the candles (not cameras), the chandeliers, they all give him just enough hope to keep holding on. He hopes they will revive him to keep going til he sees his troubles gone.

There is always hope, though you may be going through a difficult time... Know that tomorrow is a new day, and as long as we have a light to follow we will get to where we need to be.

For some reason, i see it into my childhood, where christmas is painful for me because my mother chose a man over her own offsprings... It's hard to deal with that memory... So i see it as separating from her... Idk it just mostly speak in the first few lyrics, another fight... Ily coldplay
