You could've been all I wanted
But you weren't honest
Now get in the ground
You choked off the surest of favors
But if you really loved me
You would've endured my world
Well you're just as I presumed
A whore in sheep's clothing
Fucking up all I do
And if so here we stop
Then never again
Will you see this in your life
Hang on to the glory at my right hand
Here laid to rest is our love ever longed
With truth on the shores of compassion
You seem to take premise to all of these songs
You stormed off to scar the armada
Like Jesus played Martyr,
I'll drill through your hands
The stone for the curse you have blamed me
With love and devotion, you'll die as you sleep
But if you could just write me out
To neverless wonder... happy will I become
Be true that this is no option,
So with sin I condemn you
Demon play, demon out!
Hang on to the glory at my right hand
Here laid to rest is our love ever longed
With truth on the shores of compassion
You seem to take premise to all of these
One last kiss for you
One more wish to you
Please make up your mind girl...
I'd do anything for you
One last kiss for you
One more wish to you
Please make up your mind girl...
Before I hope you die
Even though its from that story, I feel the song still makes a valid point with the use of it. It still does pull on our emotions as listeners and we can connect with it. We can see it as a life lesson, the telling of a story, or both. Thats what so cool about music :) Whether the intent was or was not what the artist wanted the listener to take away, the listener still took something away from it and made a connection.
no its not erica court and claudio its the writer and erica. this is when he catches her cheating on him and i think its at the end of the second stage turbine blade the wirter is seen standing over a grave with erica saying "welcome home"
All of you writing meanings do know that all of Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums, so this song isn't telling about a real life relationship, but that of the one from the story involving Erica Court and Claudio.
