Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered
Will soon deliver you

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will calm a storm with His hand?
Did you know
That your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby
You've kissed the face of God

Mary, did you know?
The blind will see
The deaf will hear
And the dead will live again
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of the Lamb

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know
That your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding
Is the Great I Am

Oh Mary did you know?

It means that mary as a mother probably had a little idea of what her son would do. Did she really grasp who her son would really be.
The lord and savior of the world.

A question i think that the song writer, was asking mary,
did mary really think on those things. Did she realize she kiss the face of not only her son, but the god of heaven also? Can you stop and think of all the things that could have ran thru this young womans mind knowing who she held in her arms.

Oh how Blessed Mother Mary was among all women to ever be called the Mother of God. For she was the first true Tabernacle that kept Jesus in her womb and brought Jesus to each one of us because she said yes to the will of God the Father Almighty. Because of the grace of God and that power of the Holy Spirit her spouse, where God is there is no separation of time. Our Lady is full of Grace then and will always be full be of grace & a Mother to us all as she administrates graces to each and everyone of us today and forever. She is praying that we all get closer to her son Jesus. Look into the Mysteries of the Rosary and know it is the life of Christ you can imitate. Amen.

This has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs. Now that I'm a mother it has all new meaning to me. We wonder when we look at our children what they will do and who they will be when they grow up. Mary may have known Jesus was meant for special things but really didn't realize who He would be for the world. I think in those moments when she held Him she was like any other first time mother, afraid, amazed, joyous, and full of wonder at the child in her arms, praying for his health, safety and happiness. Jesus is the Savior of humanity, but I honestly feel that to Mary he was always her precious baby boy whether He did all he did or not she would have been proud of Him.
