Christmas Songs – Deck The Halls lyrics

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la.

See the blazing Yule before us.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Follow me in merry measure.
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
While I tell of Yule-tide treasure.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Fast away the old year passes.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Hail the new year, lads and lasses
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Sing we joyous, all together.
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Heedless of the wind and weather.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

This carol is not Christian, you silly people. That should be evident by the lack of Christmas, Jesus, and God in the lyrics. Yule is a pagan holiday hosted from the winter solstice to the new year. Get your facts straight. It's about dressing in traditional clothes of the season (dressing as Pan, the great Horned God) and enjoying time together with friends and family. Read up a little on your theology and you might learn a thing or two.

We can honor God even if we don't decorate our homes, but it is fun to deck the halls, rooms and yard. I think it also means that we wear our Christmas outfits, sing carols, enjoy the fireplace, and sing some more to celebrate! We celebrate Jesus being born of the virgin Mary and dying on the cross to be the last sacrifice. We believe His sacrifice covered all of the sins of the world and that He is coming back in the same way he left (Acts 1:8). Merry Christmas!

This is about Jesus and God and how God really is the greatest person ever to be a God of this earth and how we should always worship him by decorating our houses to the fullest extent possible so he remembers to send Santa to bring us gifts which really are the true meaning of Christmas when you think about it carefully and really God intended that because he did create everything so we do need to remember to decorate our halls with boughs and holly and ivy and ornaments to honor God and his sons Santa and Jesus.
