Child in the manger, Infant of Mary
Outcast and stranger, Lord of all
Child who inherits
All our transgressions
All our demerits on Him fall

Once the most holy
Child of salvation
Genlty and lowly, lived below
Now as our glorios Mighty Redeemer
See Him victorios
O'er each foe

Prophets foretold Him
Infant of wonder
Angels behold Him On His throne
Worthy our Savior
Of all our praises
Happy forever
Are His own

This carol is about the life of Jesus Christ,
Foretold by the prophets Isiah is the usual one that is read,
But his birth, manner of death for our sin are mentioned in a number of books of the old testament.
Happy for ever are His own. Those who put their trust in Jesus Christ, and follow His teachings, have the reward of Heaven and eternal life with Him their, no matter how much they have to put up with in earthly life, it will pass in to eternal life, with Christ Jesus, our redeemer.
