Christmas Carols – Away In A Manger lyrics

Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay
.

The cattle are lowing the baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love you Lord Jesus; look down from the sky
And stay by my side until morning is nigh
.

Be near me Lord Jesus I ask you to stay
Close by me for ever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in your tender care
,
And fit us for heaven, to live with you there

Far away in a shed made for animals the lord Jesus was laid in a crib which was for hay and grain for the animals to eat. Mary and Joseph made a cradle from the crib and lined it with hay to be soft.
The cows are mooing it wakes the baby Jesus. but Baby Jesus is good and doesn't cry. Jesus is our Lord and is in heaven now; We ask him to look down upon us from heaven and keep up safe from fear till the morning.
Stay by me Jesus and keep me from fear and loneliness. Also stay by the other little kids so the will have a friend. and mostly teach us to love as you loved every one for themselves without prejudice.
