There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And the shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
"Worthy is the Lamb"

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
I will rise

My church choir is learning this song. It is so comforting & fills my heart with such peace. My Mother passed away last April after a long illness. She was a wonderful Christian Mother who lived her entire life ready to meet her Lord. Through the years when I would say, Momma I don't think I can live without you. She would gently but firmly say, "when he calls my name I'm ready". I cannot make it through the song without crying, b/c I remember the words of my sweet Mother.

This song is awesome because it reminds us of how God has complete control over death and how we will rise to be with Jesus in heaven one day. I absolutely love the message of this song.

I truly love this song. Anytime I hear it my spirit is uplifted. Jesus is the peace and the anchor we have come to know. Our body may fail us through sickness, pain, and sorrow. But in all these we can boldly say it is well because we know Jesus has overcome dead for our sake. Therefore we can enjoy eternal life not on earth but in heaven when the glorious day come. we shall see all our loved ones who have passed away. When God call their names, they will arise and we all shall give thanks and praises to God, there will be no more crying, no more pain, and no more sorrow. What a glorious day that will be!

I love this song. It will be in the Sunrise Easter Service. Praise God he lives. He didn't come to give us eternal life. He is eternal life. We get Him, we get life forever. Hope all would accept His gift of grace.

On my way to church today i was thinking of a coworker/ friend that was near the end of her long battle with cancer. I felt so sad as she is in her 30 and leaving behind a little boy. I began to pray for her peace and comfort and this song came on the radio. I felt comforted knowing she is in gods arms. She passed a wag a few hours later.
