Love and hate get it wrong
She cut me right back down to size
Sleep the day let it fade
Who was there to take your place

No one knows never will
Mostly me but mostly you
What do you say do you do
When it all comes down

Cause i don't want to come back down from this cloud
It's taken me all this time to find out what i need yeah

I don't want to come back down from this cloud
It's taken me all this all this time

There is no blame only shame
When you beg you just complain
The more i come the more i try
All police are paranoid

So am i so's the future
So are you be a creature
What do you say do you do
When it all comes down

Cause i don't want to come back down from this cloud
It's taken me all this time to find out what i need yeah yeah yeah

I don't want to come back down from this cloud
It's taken me all this all this time

Shoot up, shoot up, shoot up you're high
Love and hate get it wrong
She cut me right down to size

Sleep the day let it fade
Who was there to take your place

No one knows never will
Mostly me but mostly you
What do you say do ya do
When it all comes down

Cause i don't want to come back down from this cloud
It's taken me all this time to find out what i need yeah yeah yeah

I don't want to come back down from this cloud
It's taken me all this all this time

Why did you (9x)
Comedown

I don't want to come back down from this cloud
This cloud (8x)

If you watch the real video to this song. It almost seems as though as him being locked in a room by himself represents being all alone in a place that he put himself in. The drug reference is a scapegoat he turn to fill the empty space he has. This empty space may be a letdown either the world as he sees it or a relationship that always seems to fail. The failure of the two could very well be just a point of view from his perspective which is why everything fails. Perhaps it is him that is the problem and is just falling in deeper into his own prison using drugs to tame the problem not fix it.

He got popped by the poice w some other celebrity for having poss of heroin and he decided to kick. I'm sure this song can have a lot of interpretations but this is why the song was written, gavin got popped and decided to kick, as in comedown from being high on dope, and the line all police are paranoid.

There are a lot of withdrawal symptoms associated with drug addiction and kicking the habit. The song seems to depict everything that has gone on in his life due to his drug addiction and the withdrawal symptoms. Which is why he never wants to come down off the high again the withdrawal is agonizing.
You also get used to functioning a certain way when you are on heroine and other drugs people get to like the "high" you and don't really get to know the real person inside. You lose a lot of friends and sometimes relationships when you decide to change your life.

The song depicts an internal struggle with the addiction vs the withdrawal symptoms. The woman in his life can always put him in line, but it's just easier to say "F^*& it!" and do what you're going to do. Now that he's trying to kick the habit what is she going to do when he comes down and stays there. Is she going to stay?
