For the past few days this song just kept coming to my head and not to mention that this song has always been one of our worship song but today after a long time i had an urge to listen to this particular song and i realize this song has more than the lyric along or what the writer has actually written... It reminded me how bless i am with this life that he has given me,however we always fail to be on the right track caught up with our many worldly duties ... Which leads us to break his heart each day whereas our desire should be to always be ready to do his will and make him proud through our work. So this song for me is to go deeper and seek him to stay stay refined, not through words and flesh alone but also be ready to do his will and not mine...

I love this song,malachi 3:2-3,we need the fire to refine us and make us as pure as gold so we can enter into the kingdom of god

God has the standards of holiness and for you to qualify as being holy then one must undergo the purification process that gold normally undergo to attain its purity. Therefore refiners fire means the hardship one undergoes when he/she separates from the love of the world and focuses on jesus christ!

I think that the song really means that we really need jesus in our hearts and no one else and nothing else and when it says "ready to do your will", it really means that we are able to do what our job is and what god really wants us to do in life
