Do you feel like a chain store
Practically floored
One of many zeros
Kicked around, bored?
Your ears are full but you're empty
Holding out your heart
To people who never really
Care how you are
So, give me coffee and TV, history
I've seen so much
I'm goin' blind
And I'm brain-dead virtually
Sociability, it's hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we could start over again
Do you go to the country?
It isn't very far
There's people there who will hurt you
'Cause of who you are [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/b/blur/coffee_and_tv.html ]
Your ears are full of the language
There's wisdom there, you're sure
'Til the words start slurring
And you can't find the door
So, give me coffee and TV, history
I've seen so much
I'm goin' blind
And I'm brain-dead virtually
Sociability, it's hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we could start over again
So, give me coffee and TV, history
I've seen so much
I'm goin' blind
And I'm brain-dead virtually
Sociability, it's hard enough for me
Take me away from this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we could start over again
Oh, we could start over again
Oh, we could start over again
Oh, we could start over again
Oh, we could start over again

All i see is a song that can be sent between lovers.

The song is about how your time is spent. 'holding out your heart to people who never really care how you are', it's a waste of time on those who bring you down. It's better to be where people actually love you for you, and not those that 'hurt you cause of who you are. '
If you like coffee and tv, and sociability is hard enough for you, it's better to start over again with the one you love, because they're the only ones that will love you for all those things.
