"hate" our sentiment to the worlds position. War, pestilence, famine, and avoidable death.
"fight" i'll do what i can to be apart from this corruption.
I will take back my life, so you must take back yours.

How have we come this far and why do we survive? What were our mistakes? What did we miss along the way? I'd rather live my life with honesty in all regard.

"scorn" i've made plenty mistakes of my own, but i can see past my ignorance now.
"disgrace" i'm ashamed of who i was, but i'll do better from now on.

Give me what punishment and rewards i deserve. I will bear my own burdens, and you bear yours.

When i admit my failure, my path is clearer and my steps are stronger.

I'm taking back the future we all deserve.

The song has a double meaning - the protagonist has made severe mistakes in his life, most probably in love, and is accepting them and moving on, becoming a new person (albeit on filled with hate and pain at the moment) who will eventually surpass the old one.

As the ong of street fighter x tekken, it takes on additional meaning: the street fighter and tekken characters have never been seen in this capacity before and so the player has to build on his existing skills in both games to master this game, which is a symbol of the future and how far fighting games have come. Also, the song is encouraging new and old players alike to get involved, even if they were not experts or fans of the previouys games. This perfectly echoes the ethos of the game.

In my own option. I believe the meaning behind, black tide - honest eyes lyrics means the singer refuses to close his eyes to the world he lives in, but instead he wishes to open them to the illusion, the pain, and the lies that his life and world has to offer hum he will go through his life not afraid of what will happen to hum even if he meets his death to it as long as he live and lived his life with honest eyes he will be happy with his life no what what.

The lyrics has deeper meaning to it then some mite give it credit for so many people live their lives with their eyes close to the world some would be glad to live in the illusion they created for themselves to not deal with what they can not understand are refuse to overcome. Only the ones who care to live their life with honest eyes can truly be true to themselves.
