They all walked away, with nothing to say,
They'd just lost their dearest friend.
All that He said, now He was dead,
So this was the way it would end.
The dreams they had dreamed were not what they'd seemed,
Now that He was dead and gone.
The garden, the jail, the hammer, the nail,
How could a night be so long.

Then came the morning, night turned into day;
The stone was rolled away, hope rose with the dawn.
Then came the morning, shadows vanished before the sun,
Death had lost and life had won, for morning had come.

The angel, the star, the kings from afar,
The wedding, the water, the wine.
Now it was done, they'd taken her son,
Wasted before his time.
She knew it was true, she'd watched him die too,
She'd heard them call Him just a man,
But deep in her heart, she knew from the start,
Somehow her Son would live again.

Then came the morning, night turned into day;
The stone was rolled away, hope rose with the dawn.
Then came the morning, shadows vanished before the sun,
Death had lost and life had won, for morning had come.

Then came the morning, shadows vanished before the sun,
Death had lost and life had won, for morning had come.

Morning had come.

    Jesus won our victory over death! Death has lost its sting, and there is hope when someone we love (that is a born-again christian) dies! Life has won!!! Hope has won!!! I hope you've experienced your "morning" too!

    Its about the love of god the father, sending his only son to redeem us from our sins. Its about the pain and suffering which he had to undergo, in order that you and i may have life everlasting. What a love! Thank god he was triumphant over death. He rose

    I just finished running and as I got into the house this song came on. This song reminded me of no matter what I'm going through I always have that eternal hope that will never die out. People may displease you as a Christian for something you said or did that was against them but you can never let that bother you emotionally! Oh don't we have a friend in Jesus when no one else is there. No matter what we do good or bad he is always there when we need him. He gave his life so that death is not the end and he did so thinking about everyone of us on that cross.

    To me it means ~~~ when you die or someone you love has died ~~~ death did not win, if you know jesus. Morning came when you closed your eyes on this earth and opened them in heaven. Kb
